Prayer Needs

Instituto El Rey is always in need of your prayers. Please pray for wisdom for the leadership and the teachers. Pray that the students will be motivated to study and will have open hearts to the moral and Biblical training provided. Our prayer is that we will strive for excellence in all we do and that we would see the fruit of this in the lives of our students, and through them, to their communities and to the world.

Please pray that the financial needs of the school will be met, both for the Sponsorship Program and the General Fund. Pray that God will bring the volunteer teachers needed.

Financial Needs

Instituto El Rey depends almost entirely on donations. The students contribute around $5 a month for their education, but this covers only a fraction of the true costs.

The Student Sponsorship Program at Instituto El Rey is designed to allow supporters to fund a student’s education, as well as to develop a relationship with their student, through the student’s photos and letters. Not only is this a great cultural experience, but it meets about one-half of the school’s financial needs. Money contributed through this program supports teacher salaries, bus transportation, and textbooks.

All the remaining costs of running Instituto El Rey come from the General Fund. This fund needs to cover the expenses of administration, maintenance, and teaching supplies. Although every effort is made to reduce costs and run the school in an efficient manner, there is always great need.
