Welcome
Instituto El Rey, translated as Institute of the King, is a non-profit, Christian
high school in the mountains of northern Honduras.
We offer a quality 7th-12th grade education at
a subsidized cost to about 180 youth of the Cangrejal
River Valley, where most struggle to survive
as subsistence farmers. Our school gives them
the opportunity to complete a high school education,
learn English and computer skills, and prepare
for university and future employment.
At Instituto El Rey, we desire to teach the whole student - intellectually, physically,
spiritually and to help the student understand
and respond to the Word of God. Our goal is to
create an oasis of hope and love in a valley
plagued by poverty, violence, abuse, superstition,
and ignorance. We truly believe that God’s plan
is to use the young people of this area to become
“world-changers”; to use the foolish to confound
the wise!
Insitituto
el Rey is affiliated with the Assemblies of God.
We are a member of the ACTS Family of Ministries:
